With the right steps, India’s dairy sector can grow rapidly. New technology is playing a big role in this change. Innovations like automatic milking machines, IoT-based systems to monitor livestock, and mobile apps for checking cattle health and milk quality are becoming popular among modern farmers.
"Government programs like the National Dairy Plan (NDP) and the Rashtriya Gokul Mission are helping improve productivity, breed quality, and farmer training," says Sidhant Gupta.
He also believes that if the government gives more support to these programs, the industry could see a major transformation. Right now, India mainly supplies dairy products to its own people, but there is a huge opportunity to sell in international markets. As global demand for products like paneer, ghee, and flavored milk increases, India has a great chance to grow its dairy exports.
