With the right steps, India’s dairy industry can grow very quickly. New technology is helping a lot with this change. Tools like automatic milking machines, devices that track animals' health using the internet (IoT), and mobile apps to check milk quality are becoming popular with modern farmers.
Sidhant Gupta says, “The government is also helping through programs like the National Dairy Plan (NDP) and the Rashtriya Gokul Mission. These aim to improve the quality of cattle, increase milk production, and train farmers.”
He believes that if the government continues to support these programs, it could completely change the dairy industry. Right now, most of India’s dairy products are sold within the country. But there’s a big chance to sell more to other countries too. As more people around the world want products like paneer, ghee, and flavored milk, India has a great opportunity to grow its exports.
